Scope, design and launch new website for business needs
With an existing website that was nearly a decade (one of my first projects in the business) we were starting to experience some major problems with our SEO. The site still looked good and held up against others in the industry, but the performance was becoming a huge concern. First task to convince our board that this was a necessary expenditure - which wasn't easy when on the face of it the site looked good and the understanding of the technical difficulties was not clear for them.
THE PROBLEM
Existing website had served us well and been refreshed and kept up to date over the years, so worked well for us. However with Googly updates and changes we were finding we were being penalised more and more with performance and SEO for the site. We needed a significant investment to create a site that served the current digital world and help us create leads for our business and our installers businesses.
APPROACH
Initially had to create a clear and understandable deck to present to the board about the investment needed and why. After a number of intensive sessions we got the green light to explore proposals. With a strong brief in hand we put the project out to 3 agencies - one local who we have worked with on a number of projects, one new agency that came on recommendation and a well known industry agency.
We chose to proceed with the industry agency.

Behind the scenes, improved SEO foundations mean we’re set to gain stronger visibility in the months ahead and able to build on our digital strategy. New tools like our chatbot ‘Ernie’ are already improving lead quality and response.
